So much of what happens during a psychic reading is unique to the advisor so that they can establish a connection with you and answer your questions. While each advisor has unique rituals, most psychic readings follow a similar format that starts with an invocation, or blessing followed by the reading and a time for you to ask any lingering questions that remain before a closing ritual

The Blessing
Many psychic advisors have a blessing ritual that they will conduct at the start of a session. Depending on the individual beliefs of the advisor, it may include lighting a white candle, a moment of quiet or a spoken blessing asking for guidance, clarity and protection. These rituals serve to remove energy from any previous readings so that you and the advisor can connect in the present moment.

The Reading
After the invocation, you will enter into the heart of your psychic reading. At that point, you will enter into a conversational time where you can receive messages from the spiritual realm. Some advisors will start with a message directly from your spirit guide, and others will ask if you have a particular question that you want to address.

While it is always your right to ask for a particular style of reading (tarot, pendulum, etc.), it’s always wise to be open to what your advisor recommends. Some messages are best conveyed using different methods, and you should trust your advisor to know how to access the truest and authentic information that you seek. In order to gain the most from your reading, it’s critical that you listen to the message with an open mind and an open heart

Questions
While the core of the session should focus on your most pressing concerns, you will have a chance to ask additional questions to clarify the messages of the reading.

Closing Ritual
This closing ritual is an important part of the reading and much like the first ritual or blessing, sets a boundary to the end of the session. You may find that many psychic advisors have a ritual that includes an expression of gratitude for the wisdom revealed and a request for continued guidance and protection outside of the reading.

While each psychic reading is a unique experience, most sessions follow the same general format. To get the most out of your reading, you should be open to the experience and comfortable.
